PRIVACY, COOKIES & ADS

Last updated: November 2026

The Sir GI Joe Arcade (sirgijoe.com/arcade) is a set of free browser games. This page explains what data the games use and how advertising works here.

What the games store on your device

Leaderboards

When you choose to submit a score, we store the name you type, your score, level, play time and the date. These appear publicly on the leaderboard, so please don't use your real full name or anything private.

To stop spam, the server keeps a one-way hash of your IP address (not the address itself) for up to an hour for rate limiting, and alongside each score. Leaderboard entries may be removed at any time, for example if they look like cheating or contain an inappropriate name.

Advertising and cookies

To keep the games free, pages may show ads served by third parties such as Google. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info. Where the law requires it (for example in the UK/EEA), you'll be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.

Children

The games are suitable for all ages, but leaderboard names are public. Younger players should use a nickname.
